Nexsysone was established by the network service division of Lemcon networks. Until the surge in UMTS/3G deployments, mobile telecommunication rollout projects had been reasonably modest due to the preceding years of incremental network construction. However, 2002 represented a paradigm shift in the volume, and thus the implementation methodology, of network rollouts, with high volume "overlay + infill" deployments becoming the norm.
This presented Lemcon Networks with a problem: how to effectively manage high volume rollouts with the same level of quality but at a lower cost? The answer was provided through a project management software, which enabled Lemcon Networks to effectively, and efficiently track and report on the progress of high volume projects across multiple disciplines, departments, regions, countries and continents. Over time as technology changed and as the operators' focus changed, the tool was developed and enhanced accordingly. A modular approach was adopted to address the individual needs of the various activities within a network such as deployment, operations, and maintenance. Various important support functions such as logistics, asset management, equipment repair, and competence development were incorporated. In 2012 the concept of flexibly integrating the modules under a single platform was introduced to improve information sharing, communication, collaboration and the end-to-end knowledge management, and through that, nexsysone was born. Nexsysone is continually developing and growing, and as of today, is a comprehensive industry-agnostic activity management software.
Nexsysone as a Standalone Product
Nexsysone represents the culmination of 17 years of Lemcon Networks' service delivery experience, with over 200 projects executed in over 50 countries across 5 continents. Its architecture, functionality and flexibility embody the intellectual property that gave Lemcon Networks' its competitive advantage in its chosen field of expertise: Network Deployment and Management. When Lemminkainen made a strategic decision to divest Lemcon Networks' international service operations in 2012 and focus on its core services in Northern Europe, nexsysone was turned into a stand-alone product. Now, our customers, (and in some cases our previous competitors) are able to build and brand their own version of nexsysone and get access to the powerful, experience-rich management tool that was at the heart of every Lemcon Networks' project.
Our modules have been developed by experienced Telecom service professionals over the past 11 years. We know and understand the need to have customizable applications that are easy to use, yet capable of implementing complex processes. Within our service history, going back as far as 1995, we found ourselves updating and using various 3rd party software products for our service delivery. This meant constant training for individual products, product experts assigned to various applications and the hassle and cost of managing their licenses & servers. We found that most applications were totally segregated systems without the capability to interlink or even customize them to meet our processes.
Separate applications were required for staff competence development, project tracking, project reporting, logistics, workforce management, network planning, radio planning, network optimization, network integration, network monitoring, fault or change management, site remote control and alarm handling, network quality assurance, site audits, cost control, asset management, spare parts services, and documentation. We then asked ourselves, why shouldn't someone be able to access all these functionalities from ONE system? Why does each operational area and service need its own stand-alone platform? How can we interlink data and reports within an organization to improve communication and workflow?
The answer was to develop nexsysone under the guidance of specialist service mentors who knew the challenges of each service area.
Whilst delivering an extensive portfolio of services within the deployment and managed services sectors, we became familiar with the frequent disconnects between organizations and within departments. Each department runs as a separate entity within an organization with specific targets and goals. While their internal objectives are clear, often a lack of understanding of the challenges faced by other departments causes regression and process failures. This is when the blame game starts creating a negative impact on the project. We at nexsysone believe in complete transparency and honesty when deploying and managing networks. We believe issues and process failures are never really solved unless clearly identified. Why shouldn't departments have visibility into the progress of others on whom they are dependent, or visualize and understand the challenges they face? We've seen and understood the detrimental impact of situations where there are multiple excel sheets and trackers being ambiguously and independently maintained or multi-vendor scenarios requiring multiple reporting and tracking systems. It can be a mess but these are exactly the kind of headaches that we aspire to avoid with nexsysone.
We live in a highly dynamic and technologically evolving world, and mobile devices and connectivity are at the forefront of this evolution. The concepts championed through social media are infiltrating more and more into our work environment, and an increasing number of applications are being developed to enhance our performance in the workplace and bridge the gap between remote and centralized work activities. Through the use of mobile apps, we seek to help you manage your workforce better, improve communication, obtain real-time information while simultaneously giving you remote control over on-site conditions. We strive for a world where instant quality audits are accepted in real-time while engineers are still on site, acceptance payments are processed immediately, complex approval processes with elaborate paperwork are eliminated, instant updates of field maintenance task scheduling and workforce Geo-location is available. This is part of the vision that we at nexsysone have envisaged.
The accuracy of every database, report or communication depends entirely on the integrity of the original data. Without a disciplined organization, even the best of software management tools will be rendered useless. Though we believe in the professionalism of every organization with which we work, no process is bulletproof and loopholes will arise. For this reason our applications are tailored to secure the integrity of the data as far as possible. Input processes are designed to automatically highlight misreporting. Behind the scene cross-checks are used to ensure integrity. If it improves data integrity, human intervention is removed wherever possible.
